This is why I hate christian militants (happy Sunday)

First off – apologies to the many I know who read this page who aren’t as mad as the utter ******* I’m going on about here. As I’ve stated before I couldn’t care if you worshipped an invisble cloud man, aliens from Mars or the plop that comes out of George Bush’s crinkly arse. So long as you don’t try and force your views on me (or anyone else), I’m happy for you to enjoy your life choices.

This happened a while ago, but I’ve only just found some sites with details. Have a check of this statement from a UK cancer charity. Yes – they were forced to turn down a substantial sum of money because a bunch of ******* god-botherers were pissed off about where they were getting it from.

Basically it boils down to: “If you accept money from Jerry Springer The opera then we, as caring Christians, will picket your charity shops, harass staff at your cancer care centres and upset seriously ill patients. Because we care about Jesus and we love you.” The hypocritial, ******* *****. Every ******* one of them.

Part of me hopes there is a heaven, purely so St Peter can stand there and tell them to **** off when they die for being such utter, self-important, ****-stirring ********.

If you want to see a site devoted to telling these people what pricks they are then check out the Anti Christian Voice site. Recommended.

Sir Findo Gask

I’m with you on this one mate.

You can believe in what the **** you like just don’t bother me with it. If I am interested (which is doubtful) I’ll ask, until then keep the **** off my land and out of my way!

Everyone has the right to an opinion and free speech, thatÂ’s what our fore-fathers fought for (try saying that when youÂ’re pissed) but stopping a charity from accepting a donation because of your beliefs is not on.

*****!

Money is pretty much money wherever it comes from and in charity terms every little helps.

Sorry to rant, feel free to edit or remove.

Mosh

Can I post that to their support email address? 😉

Alan

I know this charity just doesn’t have the resources for such a fight, and it would cut into the good work they do, but it might be an interesting test case if someone tried prosecuting ******** like this under race hate laws. It does, after all, effectively amount to religious persecution, which is supposed to be an offence under law in this country.

Mosh

Alan, not quite. Race laws and religion laws in this country are utterly separate… for now. At the moment, you can insult any Buddhist, Hindu, Islamist or Jew (amongst others) that you like. It falls under freedom of speech.

However, mention wear a Cradle of Filth t-shirt with “Jesus is a ****” on the back and you can be trialled under blasphemy laws that haven’t been repealed for 200+ years. So essentially, christianity is protected whereas every other religion is not.

This is set to change under a law that (I think) Labour want to introduce. The thing is, the law is so harsh it would effectively outlaw *any* criticism or piss-take of *any* religion. At all. Life Of Brian would have resulted in a successful criminal prosecution, for example.

Frankly, I’d like to get any religious militants – faith notwithstanding – and stone the ******* to death. Then they can all die happy knowing they’re martyrs. I’m sure that’ll make them feel better. *******.

anni

I heard about this on the radio a few weeks ago – they interviewed people from both sides. The ‘Christians’ came across as what they were – a bunch of stupid, ignorant, dare I say it evil *******. But the charity can do nothing. Well, they could accept it, and then face the consequences.

They certainly do deserve to burn in hell for this.

Mosh

Anni, if there’s a god (and I don’t believe in one, but hey) then I’m sure they will. If, however, there is a god and they *don’t* burn then it’s not a god I want anything to do with anyway.

Chris

Call me thick, but what is “Pie”.

I didn’t spend too much time reading the site so perhaps I missed the explanation.

Chris

Religion is a dangerous subject.

I once attended a Church where the pastor had learned somewhere that all cells in a human body will have died and been replaced by new ones every 7 years or so.

This is true.

What he then went on to say is that because of this we shouldn’t get old and no-one knows why we age. IT IS GOD WHO DECIDES THAT WE GET OLD. He had the whole Church on the edge of their seats with all of them taking his word like God had finally shown himself (or herself) and said as much.

I didn’t want to face the wrath of a hundred or so people by sticking my hand up and saying “actually I know why we get old and it has nothing to do with God” (I won’t bore you with the details).

There are many other examples like this that I have witnessed, and it all equates to individuals making people believe about opinions they have formed when they don’t have all the facts. Pastors like a few I have seen are made idols by the Churches they run and they love and play to it.

Chris

PS:

The best ever quote I heard was on the radio from a man who was asked “What one act would you perform if you were God?”

He replied:

“I would show my self to everyone and stop all the bullshit that is done in my name!”.

Enough said 🙂

If this group cares about the the charity enough to stop them from taking “tainted” money then they should be making a large enough donation that it is not needed. Otherwise they should shut their cakeholes.

Mosh

Chris: if you want to know what “Pie” is, ask Patrick Kluivert. He seems to spend more time eating them than training to be a decent footballer. Other than that, I’m not sure… unless I’ve mis-typed something.

Sanescientist

Please don’t tar all christians with the same brush. Some of us believe that cancer is a punishment for the wicked and thus it is entirely appopriate that satan’s minions in the form of Jerry Springer fans should raise money for a cancer charity.

Mosh

Sanescientist – were you a football manager in a previous life? Perhaps manage Spurs at some point?
