Films what I want to see

Well, having just suffered the horrors of Hannibal Rising, Smokin’ Aces and Ghost Rider, what else is on the horizon to wash the awful taste from my mouth?

Top of the list courtesy of the trailers I’ve seen recently are the following:

Spiderman 3 – I mean, wow. The trailer alone makes the last two look like badly-printed comics.
The Simpsons – I almost choked laughing at the teaser trailer.
Wild Hogs – Essentially City Slickers with motorbikes.
Hot Fuzz – The brains (the brains, the braaaaiiiinns!) behind Sean of the Dead manage to merge Miami Vice and The Bill.
Rocky Balboa – Save me. I’m sorry, but the trailer actually makes it look like it might be good.

I’m not sure on release dates for this lot except Spidey – which will come out when I’m in Laos/Cambodia. So I’ll be buying that one on a ropey DVD then…

  1. Rocky Balboa is soo bad it’s actually good. as soon as the old bastard climbs into the ring I wanted to stand up and shout “go on, kick his head in” in the cinema. top utter bollocks

  2. It’s not out in Oz yet – think it is in a week or three – but I may be tempted when it arrives! Next one on the list is The Good Shepherd on Monday morning when the cinemas are cheap ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Thanks for that – I’m not sure when it comes out over here, but it’s well advertised in the cinemas. Will certainly keep my peepers peeled!

  4. wrt to the hair i could argue i did it first but didn’t have enough hair (or supported a proper team who can decide on a single colour) to go for the stripes option

  5. Been a long time since I had the hair like that. I keep getting tempted while I’m travelling, but I need someone to do the lines properly for me!
