Have you seen the Newcastle United change strip for next season? Frankly, it’s fucking horrible. It’s verging on being a throwback to the evil goalkeepers’ shirts of the 1970′s and 1980′s. Only worse. Remember when you left a crisp packet lyinging in the summer sun for months and it ended up all faded, yet with awful yellow colours? Well, that’s what they’ve gone for.
It is eyeball-searingly dreadful. As if we need any other ways to get noticed for all the wrong reasons at the moment.

Where Am I? If I'm in the UK, then this will be updated very regularly.
If I'm elsewhere in the world, this is more likely to be correct.

well, it beats the purple number from this season.
actually – my first reaction was “Oh my god, that’s fucking horrific”
Don’t think I saw the purple one. Mind I hardly got to see any live games due to them being on Setanta. Which is probably a good thing as we lost most of them.
My *second* reaction was to check the URL on the web page as I thought I’d been sent to a piss-take website.
That’s just plain awful.
See, even a Canadian doesn’t like it and they’re the most mild-mannered people on earth. Back to the drawing board, Adidas… or the pot of crayons.
thinking about it though – there aren’t many teams in the championship who’ll wear something that’ll clash with the home shirt so it’s not too bad.
however, take a look at this.

I like the idea of a yellow kit – would have preferred Yellow & White though
One clash is one too many… We’ve had yellow in the past, at least as a goalie top that I seem to recall, but it’s just awful with the off-white stripes.
Ah well, I’m not even buying the new home strip this time round.
It reminds me of custard creams…why oh why?
Weenie – because it’s yellow and white? And cheap? And nobody really likes it?
