Can’t beat three great bands and a rowdy crowd.

Tonight I headed out to see a band I’ve only recently hear of play an absolute blinder of a set based heavily on an album I really liked. I also quite like this photo of Ice Nine Kills’ vocalist standing on the crowd at the Glasgow Garage.

A good gig is a great way to get me out of the house, and today was worth the effort. The utter shambolic bunch of loons who make up Footprints in the Custard opening for Australian pirate metal alcoholics Lagerstein. I then bumped into Rob from Gunpoint X in the Solid, and Saor’s Andy Marshall outside McDonald’s opposite my house! Very rock and roll.

I get to listen to tons of music before it’s officially released, and it’s great to wrap your ears around an album that’s really, really good. Absolutely loved this new one from DragonForce when I listened to it today. It’s out on September 23rd and the review will be up on The Moshville Times shortly.

Patent Pending were in town again and, as always, were absolutely lovely. Great entertainers, but even more importantly great human beings.
