I used to have a lot of time for Ipswich Town. Their connection with Bobby Robson and the fact that my psycho ex is a Colchester United fan made me a little soft towards them and I liked to see them do well.
All that’s changed now, though. Hiring Roy “I’m tough when I can kick people but run away from a hard job when it’s not going my way” Keane as manager isn’t the most sensible of moves. Given that the last manager was sacked for, basically, not being good enough then why hire someone who’s admitted himself that he wasn’t any good in his last job?
Oh, he’s also a violent bastard who needs a good ******* hiding. But that’s beside the point. Just an opinion.
As an aside… If you have Google Toolbar installed and set to give you suggestions when you type stuff into it then try “roy keane” (no quotes) and see what the top one is. I get “roy keane ***** his dog”, so it must be a popular search!
Sorry, Ipswich. I feel for you, but I sincerely hope you get relegated next season now. Please don’t take it personally.

Keane took Sunderland up to the Prem League so Ipswich are hoping they will do the same for them. Fingers crossed that Toon stay up, otherwise you’ll be scrapping against Ipswich too… 🙁
Keane spent a fortune doing it, then left them in the lurch once he actually had a difficult job to do. Check out the other stories on the internet regarding a few Ipswich players who’ll walk at the end of the season now they’re out of contract as they dislike him so much.

And we’re going down. I’m resigned to that now. Just annoyed I no longer have my season ticket. So many new grounds to visit that I’ve not been to before.
Why not just buy a new season ticket or is there still a waiting list, even if you do go down??
And yep, funny how many Man U fans now think Ipswich will be going places yet non-Man U fans and dislikers of Keane now have Ipswich on their clubs-they-love-to-hate list.
I’m flat broke, don’t have a job and currently live 3 hours’ drive north of Newcastle… Economically non-viable!
