Pretty muddy affair, but I can’t complain about Sir Les getting the consolation goal for the visitors. We should have managed another two. Shearer narrowly missed with his last kick before being subbed, then Bellamy and Bridges (both just off the bench) couldn’t decide between them who would take the shot from 2 yards out so let a defender walk off with the ball instead.
Entertaining in places, and a nice win putting us fourth until Charlton beat Chelsea tomorrow…
