American History X is an amazing film! I can’t watch the prison shower scene for obvious reasons but i thought it as excellant…just my tuppence ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t think I’ve seen that, but I do have “Alferd Packer: The Musical” which is by the guys who went on (many years afterwards) to do South Park. It’s a western musical about a cannibal. Or something. Not a classic but something to be able to say you’ve seen.

Ed Norton is also superb in Fight Club. Maybe it’s me, but I can’t name many films he’s been in. Maybe he’s not always in ones that catch my eye. But when I do see him – class actor.

Edward Norton’s finest performance. I can’t believe some idiot complained to the Ofcom about the violence when it was shown (post watershed and with warnings) on TV recently.

Ever seen or heard of ‘The Revenge Of Billy The Kid’?

Brilliantly fantastically debauched shenanigans, and probably the sickest film I’ve ever seen. Gruesome like you can’t imagine (unless you’ve seen it!).

But utterly hilarious…

Hmmm….I like many of the same films. Interesting. Two that I would add are the Cell and Gothika. They were pretty good. Although, I like odd movies. I liked Hedwig, too.

I guessed it even before I saw the film. Also guessed the twist behind The Village.

I have NOT seen the village yet so no spoilers please.

Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I managed about half of The Cell and gave up. Gothika got awful reviews, though the trailer looked promising – I didn’t see it.

Is Fat Slags new? I saw itl isted at the local place and assumed it was the badly-animated-made-for-VHS Viz adaptation from about 10 years ago.

And Sex Lives had me *creased* with laughter in places. It’s gross, it’s in severely poor taste and it’s funny. I laughed more times and harder during 90 mins of that than I think I have at *any* American “comedy” for years.

I’ve listed films I liked. Not necessarily ones I deem as classics, but ones I definitely didn’t regret forking out for the ticket, rental or DVD/video of. Having said that, would I watch Sex Lives again? Nah, probably not. But I’d heartily recommend it on video after a night out on the piss.

Likewise, Chris. What made it even better was when I read some more info on it and looked back over it a second time. There are loads of visual “clues” throughout as well.

He’s not come close to matching it since. Unbreakable was poo in comparison, and I’ve not bothered with his other two as the reviews have been rather unkind.

Chris Parr

One film I thought was average until the last 90 seconds was the 6th sense.

To me those last 90 seconds turned it into a fantastic film. Perhaps I am thick for not getting the twist as other people said they saw it coming a mile off.

Anyway. It worked for me.

Sixth Sense surprised me at the enc, too. I’m glad beause that made the experience better for me. In retrospect, the clues were everywhere of course. Like you, I saw only Unbreakable and didn’t bother with the others. Also didn’t watch The Cell and Gothika.

American History X was really good. I like Edward Norton.

You’re proud to declare Sex For The Potato Men as one of your favourite films? One that, until Fat Slags had come out, was deemed the worst British film. Evah?
