Ooh, lookey – ITV launches a new channel for Freeview viewers. It’s got dramas and films and repeats on it. It’s free to watch. It has adverts.

Isn’t that just ITV2? Or is that to become 24/7 “How To Join A Manufactured Pop Band And Piss Off Talented Musicians”? It’s close enough anyway.

But it involves paying for a million channels I’d never watch. I get more than enough telly on BBc1 to CH5. No need for all the Sky wankery.

I have a TV tuner card. I just don’t have an aerial anywhere near my PC so it’s a bit pointless.
I need the aerial on the roof sorted as well. Can you do that? Ideally, I want an aerial socket in three rooms in addition to the front one (the only room to have one).
My signal here is crap – it’s one reason I can’t go digital full time. On terrestrial if the signal falters you get some fuzz. On digital, the picture/sound go completely, it pixelates, things freeze…

The only purpose I’ve found for BBC3 is to watch Spooks 2 days before it’s on BBC1. This allows me to piss of people who don’t have Freeview. Which technically I don’t… the box in on loan.
ITV’s sole purpose is for showing UEFA Cup football. Everything else on it is ****. I mean, for ****’s sake – *more* X Factor? WHY?!
There was a news article last month that said BBC 3, BBC4 and CBBC which get some silly number of millions to operate with, at one peek viewing time slot had less than 1000 viewers across the whole country.
Now is that tax pounds put to good use?
