Suicide solution

In some circumstances, suicide can be understandable and even acceptable. In others it’s downright selfish. I have several thousand examples of this. Just look at the front of my car.

Mass insect suicide. It must be. What pisses me off is they’re fast and agile enough to chuck themselves under the tyres and get squished there before being sent to insect heaven. But nooooo. They fling their fragile, airborne bodies at my headlights, bumper and wing mirrors. And they’re an absolute swine to clean off.

It also seems that they don’t suffer from SAD. Actually, I think they suffer from some kind of inverse SAD as more of them seem to hurl themselves to their insectoid doom during summer than winter.

Strange, that. But they’re still annoying ********.

As for catching a glimpse in my bedroom window Mosh, you may not like what you see lol.. could be any scenario.. 🙂 As for FLY SQUASH as it is known.. there is a particular solotuion that rids the bodily squelching stuff from off cars.. I wil get a hold of the name if you want it.. glad to see you ack.. as for the footy stuf.. thought best not to even go there… xx

Car wash? You actually think I *wash* the thing more than twice a year? It’s a company car for crying out loud! For all it’s worth I’d take a wood plane to the front to get the insects off…

fairy liquid & elbow grease – there are no shortcuts or easy solutions damnit (hmmm, must go now as can feel a platitude coming on)

I’ve heard if you drive really REALLY slowly then they just sort of slide off in slip stream – but I suspect that’s not going to be a hugely useful tip for you…

btw, wish my liver the best of luck if you would be so kind as it’s the department Xmas party tonight then the company one tomorrow – be afraid, be very afraid.

Noo to fairy liquid… it takes coating off stuff you do not want to take coatings off.

Just get good screen wash for the screen/headlights (if you have washers) and one of those synthetic sponges from halfords. Unless you use the car wash all the time.

Mosh

The onyl fly removal stuff I’ve seen if for windscreens and it warns in no uncertain terms not to go scrubbing it on paintwork. Something to do with the bits of grit in it, I think.

ANything to shift the little buggers would be appreciated, as long as it’s cheap!

As for peeping in your windows, I am prepared to take that chance. I’m already mentally scarred. It can’t get any worse.

Mosh

Tried, JJ. Well, car shampoo and elbow grease. It’s getting something that’ll actually break them down chemically, or abrasive enough to get them off without damaging the paintwork.

Can’t someone invent non-stick vehicle coatings? Or non-stick insects?
