Bramble is not *that* bad… when he is on the sub’s bench.
He still has that gift of scaring the bejesuz out of attackers when he is running towards them like a movable brick shithouse
But Mosh, the newly-signed Boumsong will go a long way towards strengthening your defence. I would expect Bramble’s days are now numbered!
As a Rangers fan, my feelings are devided about Boum’s departure – sure, he’s a class player, solid and steady on the ball with a sweet pass out of defence. He defends like a European, and his style was showcased perfectly in Scottish football, where every defenders main skill is kicking the ball very far away. He stood out like a sore thumb..
But 8M quid? Ta very much, we need it badly.

MBTB: I know he’s not worth £8m. Which is why I think *you* lot were having a larf saying you were going to raise the bar to £10m. Mind you, a player’s worth what a team will pay for him. If Chelsea had decided they’d taken an interest, he’d suddenly have been “worth” £15m. Frankly, if it’ll get Bramble off the team and back to the 1st division (or whatever it is this week) then it’s money well spent.
The best I saw was in a pre-season friendly against Wolves. Bramble had the ball and one of their players slid into *him*. And crumpled like a cheap East European car against a cliff wall before being stretchered off.
Bramble didn’t have a scratch. Sadly, being built like the Collosus of Rhodes doesn’t necessarily make you a good defender.
