A maudlin image to class as “happy”, but I loved the imagery. At the Berlin memorial to the homosexual people killed by the nazis, the flowers and decorations were just wonderful. I particularly liked this rainbow Star of David showing that boundaries are there to be crossed, and that people should be accepted for who they are.
A nice start to my German trip. It took a walk to find somewhere open after 10pm, but this was worth the stroll. Currywurst, chips, mayo, ketchup and – most importantly – beer!

Catching up with friends is always good. Even better when it’s been almost 20 years since you last met! 2001, by my reckoning!
Niamh likes stickers and I’ve been trying to find a decent scrap book for her to put them into rather than just plastering them in random places. Thanks to my dad, I picked up some really nice ones from Hobbycraft at Glasgow Fort today. Austin decided to get one for sketching in as well. He then went and decorated the cover of his and Niamh’s. He did a great job. What an awesome big brother!
