Get this…. KFC. And… Root beer. Well, it’s a KFC restaurant twinned with an A & W (burger) restaurant. But you can mix and match the beverages. Root beer is amazing, and comes in a nice frosted glass. They also do floats and the most amazing milkshakes.
There are apparently three of these establishments in the UK. I went to the one in Glasgow (off Suchiehall Street, near the Buchanan Street end). The others are in Derby and Manchester somewhere. Really must look them up, though for some reason they’re not listed on the KFC web page. Dammit.
I was almost in tears leaving the place. I actually now have a reason for wanting to visit Glasgow.

OMG! Tried that once. Never again!
I guess it must be an aquired taste. A bit like beer I suppose. I don’t seem to remember saying “Bloody hell that was utopia in a glass” after finishing my first pint.
