As promised, here’s a pic of the present Sharon made me for my birthday. I’m sure most of those who know me know I don’t like a fuss made (I’m like Scrooge, only I do it for all celebrations. I’m a miserable fucker at heart) but how the hell could I not like this? It’s now mounted on the wall at the top of the stairs. If you click on the piccy to the left, you’ll get a larger one to admire. But I have the original so πŸ˜›

  1. Sharon’s done tons of these. Much as I love this one, some of the others are way more impressive technically. Ask nicely and I can post/email pics of the ones I have. She also does greetings cards and stuff at request. I’m sure she’d be happy to take orders!

  3. LOL, Anni, sorry but I’m a sad fuck cause I don’t think its boring… about the only thing keeping me sane at the moment!
Your right babe, it isn’t the most technical but it was a good one to do, took me a year to find a design to work off. Glad you like it x

  5. Festive cross-sitch. Mrs Duck sometimes gets the x-stitch magazines, that often feature patterns for stitching the Queen Mum or Daniel O’Donnell.

  7. God I hope she who must be obeyed doesn’t see this I might end up with one of Swindon Town – I’m losing the will to live after last week’s shamefull episode against Notts County – Notts County ?? I ask you AAAAARRGH – Anyway mosh – nice one if you like magpies

  8. Eek. I have those cross-stitch magazines with the pictures of the Queen Mum, and Daniel O’Donnell. I have, however, never done one of the faces at the back.

I love cross stitch Sharon, but the Toon Army one had me beat – all those huge expanses of the same colour – I need lots of colour change to keep me interested. Mind you, I’ve given up on the 18 count on navy blue aida picture I started 3 months ago… my eyes aren’t what they used to be….

  9. That doesn’t sound too easy Anni… I tend to stick to 16 count, and haven’t worked on 18 before.
I’ve a monster project hiding away, which I started about 3 years ago… thats the next one to finish! Its got more colours, mixes of colours and stitches to keep you more than interested!
But if you’ve got anything you don’t think you’ll finish, I’m happy to do it for you…
    Have fun πŸ™‚
Mog – ‘like’ is a slight understatement! lol

  10. LOL. I have *loads* of things I haven’t finished!

For my mom’s 60th birthday, I made a footstool. It was about 12 by 8 inches, 18 count, cottage, with about 80 different colours in it. I swore I’d never do 18 count again, but this picture just called to me….

  11. lol The Incredibles was fantasitc, despite a slow start… great fun, and although I loved Nemo, you might be right!!!

  12. No, I prefer the techie stuff…… If my scanner was connected, I’d email you a pic, but it’s not, so I can’t. It’s a pic of dolphins and colourful fish.

I also have unfinished – Tutenkamun, red chillies and garlic in a kitchen, looney tunes baby afghan, beautiful picture of flowers in a vase (huge that one), bagpuss, and that’s just the one’s I remember…..

  13. Anni, you really are worse than me… I’ve only got about 3 started and unfinished!
Do you just get bored of them? Always wanted to do a Bagpuss, just haven’t got round to it yet!
