Have you seen the Newcastle United change strip for next season? Frankly, it’s ******* horrible. It’s verging on being a throwback to the evil goalkeepers’ shirts of the 1970’s and 1980’s. Only worse. Remember when you left a crisp packet lyinging in the summer sun for months and it ended up all faded, yet with awful yellow colours? Well, that’s what they’ve gone for.
It is eyeball-searingly dreadful. As if we need any other ways to get noticed for all the wrong reasons at the moment.

well, it beats the purple number from this season.
actually – my first reaction was “Oh my god, that’s ******* horrific”
Don’t think I saw the purple one. Mind I hardly got to see any live games due to them being on Setanta. Which is probably a good thing as we lost most of them.
My *second* reaction was to check the URL on the web page as I thought I’d been sent to a piss-take website.
That’s just plain awful.
See, even a Canadian doesn’t like it and they’re the most mild-mannered people on earth. Back to the drawing board, Adidas… or the pot of crayons.
thinking about it though – there aren’t many teams in the championship who’ll wear something that’ll clash with the home shirt so it’s not too bad.
however, take a look at this.

I like the idea of a yellow kit – would have preferred Yellow & White though
One clash is one too many… We’ve had yellow in the past, at least as a goalie top that I seem to recall, but it’s just awful with the off-white stripes.
Ah well, I’m not even buying the new home strip this time round.
It reminds me of custard creams…why oh why?
Weenie – because it’s yellow and white? And cheap? And nobody really likes it?
