Big long walk day. The Boy and I led yet another bunch of S3 pupils on a Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition. Fortunately the weather held out – overcast but not cold and it didn’t rain. Plus, it’s been lambing season recently so there were loads of them kicking about where we were walking. So cute!

We were in the car earlier and a well-known Bon Jovi classic came on the radio. And then my son starts singing “Squidward on a chair” over the chorus. And now I can’t unhear it.
So I get home to google a photo for you lot and find that there’s a video on YouTube that’s been viewed 5 million times. And there’s a bloody 10 hour version. What is wrong with you people?!

One of the advantages of being a grown-up (allegedly) is that I can eat what the hell I want, when I want. Witness tonight’s dinner: apple and candyfloss ice cream. Actually, I think it needs sprinkles. I’m off to get a bag of Fruit Gums to dump on it.
