One month down, and ending with a frosty one. I was just walking to work this morning and this little scene “worked” for me. A row of frosty garages. I don’t know why, I just liked it. So I took a photo. And now I’m sharing it.

I booked onto an after-work training course for this evening – Tackling Homophobia in the Workplace – and when I walked in the first face I saw was that of a friend and colleague I’ve not seen for (we think) three years, maybe longer. The course was great, enjoyable and informative, but the the little surprise of seeing Dee for the first time in so long was the icing on the cake.

I finally sat down at 9:30pm to relax for the first time since 7am. Sorting the flat out, worked straight through lunch, 90-minute “commute” to tutor who boys who live elsewhere, shopping… Dinner and escapism with a dose of Arrowverse.

It’s been a hectic day, with the pupils all back from prelims so I’m onto a full timetable again. Barely time to sit back and breathe, pupils working on a project through lunch, paperwork once the bell went and taking stuff to the flat on the way home as I prep for the “big move”… It says something about a day when the highlight is getting to Asda at just the right time to net a pile of food for a quid. Still, it counts.
