I was going to post a photo from tonight’s excellent Powerwolf gig (review soon on Moshville Times, plug-plug), and then I grabbed this drumstick. I also didn’t make the mistake of giving it to someone else after the rather shitty response I got last time I did that. Sorry, miserable woman at previous gig. You ruined my generosity for others.
I asked The Boy to take a break from shooting his friends in the face in Fortnite. I’m trying to get him doing other things like reading, but it’s a struggle. I went for a shower and when I came out I found that he’d dug out the board games and was trying to show his little sister how to play draughts. Good lad!
A bittersweet one today. This is Niamh’s new room in my new flat. She picked the bedclothes and herself, hence the unicorns alicorns. So at least I know she’ll be happy with it when she’s visiting.
Not so much a happy one as a relieved one. More work, but more money even if it’s just a nice hit before summer. Assuming the “qualification” section where I have to satisfy their seemingly random marking strategies doesn’t go completely to crap like it did the last time I tried… Apparently that was the new system that year being glitchy. I guess we’ll see.
Someone usually brings something in for break at the Junior School, or a parent drops off a gift. It’s been a while since I donated so I picked these up last night. Hope there’s enough to go round…
