Saturday is Krav day, though I don’t always get to practice Krav on a coach with about 40 other people… Bruised and sweaty (and a little travel sick), it was an unusual way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

This little lady was up in the early hours and, as ever, said she wasn’t tired all day despite yawning a lot. While we were at Granny & Grandad’s she snuggled in my lap and 2 minutes later… Of course, come actual bedtime and she couldn’t / wouldn’t sleep, keeping on telling me that noises kept waking her up. She closed the living room door to “keep the noise down” and snuck into big brother’s room!

Just prior to our long weekend, our school routinely has a “memorial service” at Glasgow Cathedral. Not my kind of thing, but I do appreciate a nice building. Especially when I get to walk home again from the service in the sunshine, reading a book.

Cake day! Tuesdays are a treat with my S5 class and each week two pupils are allotted as “cake ambassador”. I bring in a token thing each week. Imagine my embarrassment when I brought in some dinky Morrisons doughnuts and found the huge box of very delicious Greggs ones waiting for me… We got two tubs of mini-cake things as well. And we had a cake and coffee morning in the staff room raising money for Marie Curie. A sentence I never thought I’d utter: “Too… much… cake!”
