Pinched this from JAC:
Reading:
A 2-month backlog of 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazines. And then back to David Baldacci‘s Last Man Standing.
Listening:
Ashes to Ashes season 3, episode 7.
Watching:
See above. Ploughed through the whole series in a day.
Eating:
Not enough… still digesting my jumbo sausage and chips from last night. Not actually eaten anything today yet!
Liking:
My last week off before going back to full-time work for the first time in almost 5 years. And the fact that I have a flat/room of my own with someone who seems like a great flatmate.
Pondering:
Far too many things at the moment! Mostly work- and future-related.
Your reading is way better than mine. I need some new material!
My last week off before going back to full-time work
Full-time with 2 weeks off for Easter and 6 weeks off for summer. Bloomin’ jammy teachers! :-p
Nice going with the reading!
Almost finished the 2000ADs, onto the Megs soon.
Holidays sound good until you find out the figures in unpaid overtime. Average Scottish secondary teacher does over *FIFTY* hours per week overtime. And don’t forget that we can’t choose when to go on holiday, so they coincide with the rises in flight prices. I won’t be able to go to Download or Graspop if I’m a full time teacher 🙁
Put that way, ouch! My mate’s currently a supply teach in Glasgow, trying to get full-time so I’m sure I’ll hear similar from her!
At least with supply you do get to choose your holidays. However, with the work situation the way it is you can’t afford to turn down shifts when they appear!
Great series, Ashes to Ashes. You haven’t spoiled the ending by reading that Wiki page have you?
Nope, I always make sure I save reading Wiki pages until *after* I’ve seen a series! The most I ever check up is how many episodes there are and so on. It did take a while to grow on me. I think up until this series I still preferred Life on Mars.
