I was heading to work in Bearsden this morning and did a 3-point turn in the car before parking up. As I nosed into the driveway of a house, three of these beautiful deer stared at me for a couple of seconds and then legged it away over the lawn. Not something I was expecting!

The photo below isn’t mine – they’d gone long before I could even think of getting my camera ready. Source is the Milngavie Herald.

Tickets: £50, Pepsi Max (2): £6, Sweeties: £3. Watching son laugh out loud and clap along to classic rock tracks: priceless.

We went to see Rock of Ages at the Kings Theatre in Glasgow tonight. The last time I was there was August 2014… when I took his big sister to see the same show. Same time in four years to repeat the tradition with his little sister? He loved it – laughed at all the inappropriate jokes, clapped along to the songs and barely stopped smiling. I wish I could have got a photo of him during the show but I wasn’t about to get my camera out while the performance was on!

I finally finished the Databases module I’ve been working on for my S2 classes, and I’m quite pleased with it. It’s not quite the masterpiece I was hoping for, but it should entertain them enough that they don’t realise that they’re actually learning… and that’s half the battle.

I was going to post a photo from tonight’s excellent Powerwolf gig (review soon on Moshville Times, plug-plug), and then I grabbed this drumstick. I also didn’t make the mistake of giving it to someone else after the rather shitty response I got last time I did that. Sorry, miserable woman at previous gig. You ruined my generosity for others.

I asked The Boy to take a break from shooting his friends in the face in Fortnite. I’m trying to get him doing other things like reading, but it’s a struggle. I went for a shower and when I came out I found that he’d dug out the board games and was trying to show his little sister how to play draughts. Good lad!
